Past Projects

Throughout his career Dr. Aksamentov, the founder of the VKA Group, has been instrumental in the collaboration of commercial companies with various space projects. It is with his vision and expertise that corporations have been on the forefront of bringing space exploration back to earth.

Space Commercial

Pepsi partnered with the VKA Group to shoot the first commercial from space. The project involving Space Station MIR was used to introduce a new Pepsi product, Pepsi Blue. VKA Group developed an inflatable Pepsi can that matched exactly the cans used in their new product launch. The inflatable can was delivered to MIR, where two cosmonauts took it outside the space station during their space walk/EVA. It was then that the first space commercial in outer space was filmed with the Pepsi can on an Earth background.

Kodak & HDTV

Kodak partnered with VKA Group to deliver digital cameras and their logo to the International Space Station/ISS. VKA Group and Kodak developed a promotional event that took place on board the Space Station, untilizingKodak's newest line of digital cameras. VKA Group delivered Kodak cameras to ISS for the cosmonaut and astronaut use. Pictures generated from these sessions were placed on the Kodak website and were also linked to the NASA/Kodak/RSA website. In conjuction with this promotion, the Kodak logo was placed on the exterior of the Russian module of ISS.

Pizza Party in Space

Pizza Hut partnered with VKA Group to introduce their new logo. VKA Group secured placement on Proton Rocket which launched the Service Module Zvezda to the ISS. More then 2 million prints were made of this launch photo incorporating the new Pizza Hut logo. In addition to the launch event, VKA Group developed the first pizza that was baked, certified and delivered to ISS for a "Pizza Party in Space". Along with the pizzas, VKA Group delivered Pizza Hut hats and t-shirts for the party's participants. The footage, which was filmed onboard ISS, was used for Pizza Hut marketing promotions tied to their new logo launch.
